Postgraduate Studies

A person who has a diploma of completing higher education studies of first/second cycle studies/long-cycle Master studies and shall fulfil terms and conditions of recruitment established by the Faculty conducting the form of studies, May be admitted to post-graduate studies.

The studies are an offer for graduates of Academies of Fine Arts, Faculties of Art. And Faculties of Artistic Pedagogy of other universities, Faculties of Architecture of Polytechnics.

Documents required from the candidate:

application form/individual questionnaire (the forms are available in the Secretariat for post-graduate studies and at the following website www.asp.krakow.pl),
diploma/copy of the diploma of completing higher education studies,
photocopy of an ID card/passport (the original for inspection),
three photos of the following dimensions 45x35 mm (student ID card type).

1. Qualification procedure

The entrance examinations are conducted by the Faculty Recruitment Commissions. Candidates show not less than 20 artistic works executed by themselves which are related with the chosen area of study, and in addition, documentation of other artistic activities (the originals or a portfolio). The interview is concerned with the candidate's interests and professional experience.

2. Scoring of the examination is up to 15 points. A positive result of the qualification procedure is 10 points (the scoring does not include art education). Candidates who will be successively placed within the admission limit on the ranking list established according to the number of points obtained during the qualification procedure will be admitted to studies.

Post-graduate studies in painting are of the nature of continuation or supplementing of education as well as they are supposed to develop the student's own artistic activity. The students are required to follow the curriculum of the specialized studios (painting and drawing) as well as the curriculum of two optional studios within the chosen specialty. Classes are held each two weeks on Fridays after 3.00 pm and on Saturdays.

Qualification procedure	Presentation of the candidate's works (originals or a portfolio). Interview is concerned with the candidate's interests and professional experience as well as the analysis of written programme of study prepared on the basis of the educational offer of the faculty.

Post-graduate studies in stage design prepare students to work in the profession of a stage designer in theatre, film and TV. The curriculum includes: designing for theatre, film and TV productions, costume design, computer-aided virtual space design, selected problems of film, theatre and TV directing, history of world drama and theatre, history of material culture, perspective, drawing and learning of execution of mock-up objects.

The content-related programme of post-graduate studies in art education in plastic arts includes a broad scope of courses required for obtaining teacher's qualifications as well as enriching art teachers' professional skills. Classes are concerned with selected problems of general psychology, including psychology of art and creativity, teaching, methods of drawing and painting teaching, popularization of culture. During studies students pursue mandatory teaching practice in the amount of 150 hours. Classes are conducted on Saturdays.

Amount of the tuition fee	1st year of studies 2,600.00 PLN 3rd semester 800.00 PLN Additional fee in the 3rd semester required from students supplementing their specialized education amounts to 400.00 PLN.

Post-graduate studies in interior design
are an offer for graduates of plastic disciplines of art higher education studies as well as architecture. They aim at grounding knowledge in interior design and furniture design. The curriculum includes a package of general education courses: history of design, conservation problems in architecture, and specialized ones: sanitation installations, interior acoustics, ergonomics in design, lighting techniques. Classes are held in the time of sessions (each two weeks - on Fridays from 4.00 pm, and on Saturdays).
