The main objective is to teach and educate aspiring artists, shaping their creative personalities and fostering an awareness of their own identity and independent system of values. An aspiring artist should be able to competently use a wide range of means of expression.

The curriculum focuses on developing skills in sculpture, preparing students to collaborate on the design of architecture, urban spaces, and the environment, as well as on interdisciplinary artistic work. The diversity of the teaching objectives is reflected in the detailed studio syllabi, which showcase the creative individuality of the instructors.

Comprehensive, practical, and theoretical training provides graduates of the Faculty of Sculpture with a wide range of opportunities to realize their potential, primarily in the field of sculpture known as traditional sculpture—that is, monumental sculpture (statues, religious sculpture, plein-air sculpture), small plaster and stucco forms, and medal engraving. In addition, they successfully engage in artistic activities in the field of new media. Many artists among the Faculty’s graduates have won prestigious awards both in Poland and abroad and have produced numerous significant works. They participate in and co-organize important exhibitions in the art world as well as national and international sculpture symposia. Furthermore, their works are held in numerous museums and private collections in Poland and abroad.

The Faculty is also open to artistic events, manifestos, and programs created outside the Academy. As a result, various artistic trends find their way here and are welcomed. One such initiative was the establishment of the Multimedia Studio in 1993. Graduates of the Faculty of Sculpture have received numerous artistic awards both in Poland and abroad.
