Cracow Art Week Krakers (CITY section) and the Gallery of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków: SYROKOMLI 21 invite you to the exhibition “SOMETIMES I THINK I’M DREAMING” at the Syrokomli 21 Gallery. The opening will take place on Friday, April 25, at 5:00 p.m.
The following are participating in the exhibition:
Marlena Biczak & Paweł Krzywdziak
Karolina Brożek
Julia Celer
Lena Kołodziej
Kinga Lewińska & Adam Nieuważny
Łukasz Rygał
Marcin Surzycki
Krzysztof Tomalski
Lena Wiszniewska
Like Witkacy’s Bung, the artist remains alone in his studio, lost in the process,
which demands total devotion.
Regardless of the medium used by the artists
presenting their works at the exhibition at the Syrokomli Gallery,
they share a common goal: to create an alternative reality,
in which the only thing that matters is the “story” they share with viewers.
As in Witkacy’s work,
their practice features a clash between the physical and the metaphysical, reality and hallucination.
Exhibition curators:
Dr. Agnieszka Jankowska-Marzec
Dr. Aleksandra Toborowicz, Ph.D., Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts
Dr. Mateusz Otręba, Ph.D., Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts
Dr. Krzysztof Świętek
Dr. Tomasz Winiarski
The exhibition will be open from April 26 to April 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
