The ASAP Student Gallery invites you to the exhibition “Intertwining Threads” at the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery in Kraków as part of CRACOW ART WEEK KRAKERS. The opening will take place on Friday, April 25, at 6:00 p.m. at the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery, 13 Matejko Square (ground floor lobby).
In today’s world, fraught with tension and information uncertainty, the line between truth and fiction is becoming increasingly blurred. Reality is transforming into a chaotic dream in which thoughts and experiences, filtered through the subconscious, become distorted, overlap, and disintegrate, only to coalesce into new, collage-like narratives. In this fragile world, accessible only to the dreamer, illusions—built on fragments of truth—form an endless labyrinth in which we wander, lose our way, and live through the experience, believing that it is all real, until the story becomes so absurd that it is no longer possible to believe it. “This can’t be possible—am I dreaming?”—a question that pulls us out of the abyss of sleep, becoming both a physical and a metaphorical awakening.
In creating this installation as part of the exhibition “Interwoven Threads,” we aim to construct a space in which embroidered stories intertwine into a network of floating corridors, forming a labyrinth in which each of us wanders, trying to distinguish the real from the imaginary, until we ultimately cannot find our way out.
